how to create a spring bowl

There's something very uplifting about the sight of daffodils - that first glimpse of colour to interrupt the long grey winter. Getting that much-needed colour and Nature into your home is a must for me! This is my Spring-in-a-bowl using one of our reclaimed wooden bowls. I love the contrast of the bright yellow Narcissi against the rustic texture of the wood, they sit very happily together.

Simply cover the base of the bowl with gravel for drainage and add your Spring bulbs. I've used Narcissi tete-a-tete bulbs here.
Cover over the soil with a little carpet of moss and you're done!
